This is a blog post about the bass tab for Nirvana’s Come As You Are. It has been transcribed from the original song by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic, and can be found on their album “Nevermind.” This song was released in 1991. The bass is tuned to E-A-D. It’s a four stringed instrument, meaning that there are two strings on each side of the neck (or one string for every note you would play).
The first finger corresponds with the lowest string and if you’re right handed it will be your index finger. The thumb can either go on top or below the other fingers some people prefer to have their thumb above because they feel like it improves grip by giving them more room between their fingertips and back of the neck. Note: This content has not yet been written. This blog post includes information about how to tune an acoustic guitar as well as instructions on how to hold your fingers while playing different notes across.
