There’s an interesting article in the bryan edwards news link with a few quotes from people around the world that are really putting the importance of mindfulness on the forefront of their lives. This article is really interesting because it is about what it means to be a good human being.

I think the quotes are great, but the central idea of The Five Mindfulness Challenges is really interesting too. I think it’s worth including it here because it’s all about how we should be more mindful of our thoughts, emotions, and other mental activities. We should learn to monitor our thoughts and emotions with awareness and compassion (but this isn’t so much about what we SHOULD be doing, but about how we can be doing it).

Bryan Edwards, the author of The 5 Mindfulness Challenges, has been a guest on Mindful Life Radio and has spoken at TED and TEDx conferences. He’s a professor of psychology at the University of California, Riverside. He is also the author of The 5 Mindfulness Challenges: A Compound Approach to Mindfulness.

He has written a series of essays on mindfulness and mindfulness meditation that are all about the benefits of meditation for personal growth, relationships, health, and happiness.
